The Legal Services Commissioner is the single gateway for the fair, independent and efficient handling of complaints about lawyers in Victoria.
Established on 12 December 2005 under the Legal Profession Act 2004 (Vic), the Legal Services Commissioner replaced the Legal Ombudsman and three other bodies that previously dealt with complaints about lawyers.
Michael McGarvie is the Legal Services Commissioner.
